So when PlantFusion sent me review samples, I wasn't sure if I would be able to do justice to sampling and reviewing. But I took up the task of trying to get hubbs to try and like some of the flavors as he will need to add more than one type of protein bar to his stash through his training.
I made some nut butter bars, lassi smoothies and cookies. I tried all the creations sparingly was surprised that my stomach did not feel that weird. I will continue to try more to see if I gets used to them.
Hubbs loved the bars and and Lassi Smoothie. He was not happy that I changed the cookie under him. He wants that cookie recipe untouched ;). The Lassi was my favorite. The blending gets everything blended up very well and the strong strawberry masks any flavors or textures that might otherwise be off-putting.
What I like about these protein powders are they are free of gluten and soy and have amino acids. The protein powders are made from quinoa, amaranth, yellow peas and artichoke. One 12oz shake provides 21 grams of complete protein and is enhanced with 4500mg of branch chain amino acids. It is dairy free, soy free, gluten free and animal free. There is also a proprietary blend of enzymes to help ease the digestion process if you tend to have a sensitive stomach.
The Phood complete shake also has sprouted grains like Amaranth, quinoa and Chia, and sprouted cruciferous greens along with Probiotic digestive Enzyme blend.
I am yet to try the Phood shakes. We got through the protein powders. I added them in bars, smoothies and cookies to see how hubbs fared on them. He couldn't tell that his Lassi had some.

This looks like a good giveaway (and recipe)! I don't usually eat protein powders either, but I once bought a large container of vanilla protein powder from Trader Joe's and ended up needed to use it all lest it spoil--so I found a recipe for some sort of protein powder muffins! They weren't very good (this recipe looks MUCH better) but they did the job.
