Happy Diwali!

Print Friendly and PDF
Wish you all a very happy Diwali and a prosperous new year ahead!

So why did i think of starting up another blog. The other blogs are about life and events and sometimes life does get a bit mundane and nothing new happens. So the blog sleeps.

This one however is going to be about hobbies, creative stuff, and other interests. I usually am at my creative best when i am short on time. I.e I always created the best of sketches and painting during my exams in school. When i was in Champaign for my Masters, i would come home at 3 in the morning and cook coz i was hungry and cook not just the usual stuff but get creative with it:)

It has taken me some time to get that creativity to work now. I have all the time in the world at home, but somehow it takes a lot more motivation to pick up and try new things than it would if i was short on time.:)

I did start with some painting, but it needs a lot of eye work. Cooking was the next choice, coz it is one of the daily tasks which anyway needs to be done:) .

There was a week in between when i tried new things everyday, and by the end of the week Vivek requested me to make some usual food like aloo gobi and daal coz he was tired of all the new exqusite things:)

Of course there are a ton of recipe websites and i will not make this blog another one. This blog is just my own taste and list of old and new things i tried and how they turned out to be!

Some cool stuff i have tried so far:
  • Veg kurma
  • Mixed Veg jalfrezi
  • Aviyal
  • Rasgulla
  • Coconut barfi
  • kadhai chole/rajma
  • kadhai chicken
  • Goan chicken (Xacuti)
  • Egg foo young
  • Garlic chutney (2 types)
  • Methi malai mutter
  • Flying rani cutlet
  • Malai Laddoo
  • Treats and Biscuits for Chewie.
